DDR3-2400MHz Performance On AMD's A10 Kaveri With Kingston's HyperX Beast
We see straight away from the Linux game testing that the Kaveri Radeon R7 Graphics performance continued to benefit from the faster memory at DDR3-2400MHz. Replacing the DDR3-2133MHz memory with DDR3-2400MHz memory yielded a 10% boost in the frame-rate for its 12% rise in memory frequency.
Unigine Tropics also benefited from the faster system memory but didn't yield as near-linear gains as in some of the other OpenGL game tests.
Xonotic's performance was also beginning to level out with less of a performance boost in going from DDR3-2133MHz to DDR3-2400MHz with likely facing a greater bottleneck elsewhere with these more demanding OpenGL settings.
