AMD Ryzen 5 3600XT / Ryzen 7 3800XT / Ryzen 9 3900XT Linux Performance In 130+ Benchmarks
To little surprise when looking at the performance out of Intel's own software packages with their growing oneAPI collection, the Core i9 10900K came out ahead of the Ryzen 9 3900XT. The Intel software tested included Embree, oneDNN, OIDn, OSPray, and OpenVKL. The Ryzen 5 3600X meanwhile was slightly faster than the Core i5 10600K.
Healthy gains were found out of the Ryzen 3000XT series with (mostly single-threaded) Python workloads including Pybench, Numenta NAB, Numpy, and Scikit-Learn.
If looking at the ray-tracing performance with OSPray, C-Ray, Tachyon, POV-Ray, rays1bench, and YafaRay, the geometric mean puts the Ryzen 9 3900XT about 3.4% faster than the 3900X, widening the lead with the Core i9 10900K. The Ryzen 5 3600X lost out to the Core i5 10600K but with the Ryzen 5 3600XT was now faster than that Comet Lake CPU.
If expanding to all rendering workloads rather than just ray-tracing to also include the likes of Blender, Appleseed, TTSIOD, and IndigoBench, the Ryzen 3000XT CPUs continued seeing minor improvements over the original Zen 2 CPUs and expanded leads over Comet Lake.
