With the Unigine Valley benchmark, the Core i3 4130 was about 35% faster than the FX-8320E at stock speeds. When overclocking the FX-8320E to 4.4GHz compared to the 3.2GHz base frequency with 4.0GHz boost, the frame-rate rose by 22%. The Core i3 4130 is currently retailing for about $120 compared to the $140 price of the FX-8320E.

When the FX-8320E was overclocked, it was able to outperform the FX-8370 series at their respective stock speeds, but still came up short of the Core i3-4130 Haswell.

Thanks to the FX-8320E having eight CPU cores, it is able to beat out the i3-4130 and even the i5-4670 in workloads utilizing OpenMP and other parallel programming interfaces.

With the Rodinia scientific tests, the results aren't too bad for the AMD Vishera line-up.

However, in not all Rodinia CPU-bound tests was the AMD line-up running very well.
