Time and time again, the Linux-builds of Blender for this open-source 3D modeling software are delivering better performance on Linux than Windows.

IndigoBench benchmark with settings of Acceleration: CPU, Scene: Bedroom. Ubuntu 23.04 was the fastest.

The Indigo Renderer also consistently shows better CPU rendering performance on Linux across a wide range of processors over Windows.

The Appleseed renderer saw slight advantages with Ubuntu 23.04.

Chaos Group V-RAY benchmark with settings of Mode: CPU. Ubuntu 23.04 was the fastest.

The V-RAY renderer also shows stronger performance on Ubuntu 23.04 than Windows 11 for this 8-core AMD Zen 4 desktop.
