With the Google Chrome 112 performance between Windows 11 and Ubuntu 23.04 on the Ryzen 7 7800X3D, the performance was very close except for a strong Windows win with the PSPDFKit WebAssembly benchmark.

Ubuntu 23.04 came out in front overall with some strong shows for CPU rendering based workloads as well as some video encoding tasks and other select workloads. In the other tests, it was a rather close race. See this result file for all 80 benchmarks in full from this initial Windows vs. Linux performance comparison on the AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D.

In the days ahead will be looking at the gaming performance for both GeForce RTX 40 and AMD Radeon RDNA3 graphics on this system under the same platforms.
