Whether you are using Windows or Linux, you are never free of running into hardware problems. It could be a bad power supply or a faulty motherboard, but an incorrect diagnosis can be costly and timely in production environments. PC-Doctor Inc, a company serving the computing community since 1993, recently sent out their PC Doctor Service Center 6 for review. This PC diagnostic test kit includes a variety of hardware and software for helping to diagnose computer problems. While this kit can help in solving computer problems, is it worth $400 USD?

The PC Doctor Service Center 6 kit is sold via authorized resellers and directly from their website, along with other PC Doctor products. Our review sample of this test kit had arrived in a cardboard shipping box, but all of the product contents came enclosed inside of a small bag with handle. The product contents had included a diagnostic CD, CD and DVD test media, five loop-back devices, PCI POST card, power supply tester, multipurpose USB device, quick start guide, 128MB flash drive, and the PC Doctor Service Center 6 documentation. The diagnostic CD is geared for Microsoft Windows usage but there is also OS independent support. The multipurpose USB device is bootable to an offline operating system for low-level testing.

Among the slated benefits for PC Doctor's Service Center 6 are shortened service delivery times by expediting the diagnostic process, reducing service delivery costs, eliminating guesswork, and hopefully increasing customer satisfaction. For the record, before we begin with more information on this PC diagnostic kit, their target users are for retailers, enterprise PC organizations, PC repair centers, low-volume PC manufacturers / warranty repair centers, system designers, and even hobbyists.
