SilverStone Sugo SG03 SFF

It was in August of 2005 that we first encountered the SilverStone Sugo series when we had the honor of presenting one of the first reviews of the Sugo SG01 Small Form Factor chassis. Due to the unique and well thought out design of the SG01 along with not requiring any proprietary hardware, we had fallen in love with the SilverStone Sugo. Since then SilverStone had introduced the SG01 Revolution as a revision to the original Sugo, which had improved upon a few areas in the original SG01 design but was not a complete redesign. The scheduled successor to the SilverStone Sugo SG01 was the SG02, but it had never made it out of SilverStone's design labs. We had seen various pieces of information including pictures of the SG02 chassis up until last year when we had found out SilverStone had discontinued its design and restarted from scratch on what would become the SG03. Almost two years after the release of the original Sugo SFF chassis we finally have our hands on the Sugo SG03. The SG03 was officially announced at CeBit last month and went into production earlier this month. You can expect SG03 availability at Internet retailers by the end of the month, but for this review we managed to get the SST-SG03S a bit early. In this first American review of the SilverStone Sugo SG03 we have plenty to tell you about this new creation along with a number of photographs.

· Reversible power supply installation

The SilverStone Sugo SG03 had safely arrived at our location in a very small box. As Phoronix had not covered CeBit Hannover this year, it was our first time meeting the Sugo SG03 and from the moment of receiving this package we were in awe. The case itself was wrapped in a heavy-gauge plastic bag with two large Styrofoam blocks at opposite ends and the case mounting accessories were included in a separate box. The SilverStone Sugo SG03 is available in silver and black with the model we have being the silver SST-SG03S.
