Tyan Tempest i5000VF & i5000VS
Performance:
For comparing the performance of the Intel Blackford and Greencreek Chipsets, as well as the Tyan Tempest series, we had run the i5000VF and i5000VS up against the i5000XL. Below is the rundown of major hardware and software components used during testing.

X.Org: | 7.0.0 |
When it came to the Linux compatibility matter, both motherboards had worked fine under Fedora Core 5 when using the 2.6.17 kernel. The only issue with the i5000VF was the failure of sensors-detect being unable to detect the onboard sensors. Using LM_Sensors v2.9.2 on the i5000VS, the lm85-i2c-0-2e module was loaded and had reported the various voltages, fan speeds, and temperatures. Some of the reported values were noticeably incorrect, but for the most part, it had worked fine with the S5372. The benchmarks used were Gzip Compression, LAME Compilation, LAME Encoding, and FreeBench.
