For years now Cooler Master has been manufacturing PC cases and other computer peripherals. They have earned a good name amongst the enthusiast community for quality, sharp styling, and innovative design. Of these renowned chassis' are the CM Stacker and WaveMaster. Up on the review block this week we have the case that was originally going to be called the WaveMaster 2; until Cooler Master engineers and marketers decided to instantiate a new series -- the Mystique. The Cooler Master Mystique 631 is the first chassis to inaugurate this new series, but it certainly will not be the last. Not only is it very fashionable, but it is also designed for use with various water cooling setups. Over the years, Cooler Master has become well regarded by computer enthusiasts for their exceptionally well-designed products, but is the Mystique 631 another one of these marvelous creations, or has Cooler Master bit the dust this time around?

While the Mystique 631 is composed of aluminum, and is relatively light. Cooler Master has done a mighty fine job packaging this case. On the outside are diagrams and figures for showing off the benefits of the case. Protecting the case itself during shipping is Styrofoam on both of the case ends, as well as a plastic bag. Inside of the chassis was a smaller cardboard box that contained the mounting hardware as well as the user manual. There are presently four varieties to the Mystique 631, silver and black, and the option of having a side panel window. The chassis we received was still labeled the WaveMaster 2 in some areas; however, all RC-631 models acquired through traditional retail channels should be properly labeled.
