Across all fourteen graphics cards tested, the Vulkan renderer was noticeably faster than the OpenGL renderer for Feral Interactive's Linux port of Mad Max.

For those that missed the earlier articles testing Mad Max, the benchmark mode provides results for four different scenes from within the game.

With the lower-end cards like the GTX 1050 series and GTX 950~960, with OpenGL the 1080p results are around 30 FPS with OpenGL but now closer to 60 FPS with Vulkan.

These results range from Vulkan being 1.2x faster all the way up to 2.5x faster than OpenGL for this particular Linux game.
