Linux Driver Published For FSP/3Y-Power Server PSUs
Václav Kubernát of CESNET developed this "fsp-3y" driver for Linux's hardware monitoring (HWMON) subsystem so that the exposed monitoring metrics can be tapped by the mainline kernel.
This basic HWMON driver at less than 200 lines of code allows for FSP 3Y-Power power supplies to expose the current voltage readings using the standard sysfs interfaces.
Tested FSP/3Y-POWER power supplies are the YM-2151E and YH-5151E models.
The driver for now is out for review on the kernel mailing list.
For those looking for consumer desktop PSUs with exposed sensor information under Linux, mainlined since Linux 5.11 is a Corsair PSU driver developed via reverse-engineering its USB interface.
