Given the plethora of ARM SBCs out there, first up for the performance testing was seeing how the UP Squared compared to a few different ones including the Libre Board ALL-H3-CC H5, Firefly RK3328-CC, ASUS Tinker Board, Raspberry Pi 3 B+, Raspberry Pi 4 B, ASUS Tinker Board, and Jetson Nano.

The UP Squared did offer very good performance out of this Apollolake SoC, granted this is a $150+ board compared to many of these tested ARM boards being much cheaper.

In some of the multi-threaded benchmarks, the NVIDIA Jetson Nano did deliver slightly better performance thanks to its four Cortex-A57 cores.

In other workloads, the Firefly picked up a few wins and even the Raspberry Pi Model 4 won in the simple Smallpt path tracer.

But when it comes to any single-threaded workloads, the UP Squared with Celeron N3350 was much faster than the competition.
