In the case of the Golang benchmarks, openSUSE Tumbleweed pulled out some wins while Debian 9.7 with its oldest Golang packages led to the slowest performance.

Ubuntu 18.10 and Debian Buster were delivering great Java performance on POWER9.

Ubuntu 18.10 also squeezed out another win with the Numpy performance.

OpenSUSE picked up another win with the TTSIOD 3D renderer.

The Debian 9.7 stable release meanwhile had the fastest x264 video encode performance.
