Keep in mind the Talos II Secure Workstation was limited to a slow hard drive for this initial testing, but there are some build time references for those curious about the potential of Talos II serving as a POWER build platform.

The Raptor Talos II was in line with the AMD EPYC 7551 in the Stockfish chess benchmark.

The FLAC and MP3 audio encoding benchmarks show that more POWER tuning is likely needed or just the lower single-threaded performance compared to x86-64.

The OpenSSL results also have a ways to improve, which will be interesting to see how POWER9 matures when testing the Talos II in the future with updated firmware / kernel / compiler support.
