With the Parboil LBM fluid dynamics test, the Raptor Talos II with its 16 core / 64 thread configuration was running in front of the AMD EPYC 7551 while the higher-end AMD EPYC 7601 and dual Xeon Gold 6138 systems were much faster.

While in the stencil test, the Talos II system beat out both AMD EPYC systems and was mid-way to the performance of the dual Xeon Gold server.

The x264 video encoding program is one test showing it's not too well optimized right now for POWER9.

While in the 7-Zip speed test, the fully libre Talos II Secure Workstation was running in line with the AMD EPYC 7551.
