The eighteen graphics cards tested for this Linux GPU comparison included:

- GTX 1660 SUPER
- GTX 1660 Ti
- RTX 2060
- RTX 2060 SUPER
- R9 285
- RX 550
- RX 570
- RX 580
- RX 590

All tests were done from Ubuntu 19.10 and on the NVIDIA side the 440.36 driver was used. For the AMD Radeon testing was the Linux 5.4.1 kernel with its latest AMDGPU DRM driver paired with Mesa 20.0-devel from the Oibaf PPA.

NVIDIA AMD Linux Low End GPU

Via the Phoronix Test Suite a wide range of native Linux games and Steam Play titles were tested both with OpenGL and Vulkan exposure. There are also a number of NVIDIA OpenCL/CUDA results for reference too. The GPU power consumption was being monitored throughout testing using the respective driver interfaces on capable GPUs as well as the GPU core temperatures.
