In the simple Fhourstones Connect-4 benchmark, the Linux distributions and Windows were all faster than macOS. Clear Linux was the fastest operating system out-of-the-box followed immediately by the Windows 10 configurations.

With the LuaJIT benchmark, macOS and Clear Linux were tied for first though the other operating systems were not far behind.

With the GraphicsMagick performance, Clear Linux was the fastest while the Windows results were mixed in with the other popular Linux distributions. The GraphicsMagick performance was the slowest on macOS due to their default Xcode compiler stack relying upon LLVM/Clang that supports OpenMP these days but still isn't as well tuned as OpenMP on GCC.
