Radeon RX 560/570/580 vs. GeForce GTX 1060/1650/1660 Linux Gaming Performance

Across the board, the Radeon RX 570 was offering the best performance-per-dollar for these NVIDIA GeForce and AMD Radeon graphics cards at their current US retail prices. The RX 570 does offer much better value than the similarly priced GeForce GTX 1650 in a majority of the benchmarks.

Here is a look at the GPU power consumption over the course of all the Linux gaming benchmarks carried out. The Radeon RX 580 easily was consuming the most power, noticeably more so than the GTX 1060 and GTX 1660. The RX 570 also was consuming noticeably more power than the GTX 1650. But hopefully with the Radeon Navi GPUs this year AMD will be able to better compete on performance-per-Watt with NVIDIA's offerings.

Lastly is a look at the harmonic mean of all the FPS benchmarks carried out in this article. The RX 570 was offering about 7% better performance than the GTX 1650. The GTX 1060 did inch past the RX 580 overall, but it was just a 4% difference.
