When upgrading the Linux kernel from version 3.0 to 3.1, it is an immediate 24% performance improvement. However, at 1920 x 1080 it is still not quite fast enough to handle this Qfusion-powered game with Sandy Bridge graphics. Hopefully this will be a different story with Ivy Bridge.

Upgrading to the Linux 3.1 kernel for the LLC support boosts the VDrift racing frame-rate by 14%.

The Lightsmark number goes up by 20% with this latest stable Linux kernel.
