With BioShock Infinite we see slight performance improvements when switching to the AMDGPU driver from the Radeon DRM driver. The big item to note right away is the very slow performance out of this particular R9 290 graphics card. While the Hawaii performance regression was fixed at one point, this card is still running slow. The R9 290 also previously worked fine with the experimental AMDGPU code, but that is not the case with Linux 4.15.... But with the HD 7950 / R7 260X / R9 270X, it's great to see a few more frames squeezed out of the hardware with this newer Direct Rendering Manager driver.

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive was also slightly faster with the AMDGPU DRM.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided also sided with the AMDGPU DRM driver.

But in DiRT Rally there was no real change in performance except for the regressed R9 290 doing slightly better with AMDGPU.
