ASUS Radeon HD 7850 DirectCU

The other tested Radeon GPUs for this HD 7850 Linux hardware review was the AMD Radeon HD 5830, HD 6870, HD 6950, and HD 7950. The tested NVIDIA GeForce graphics cards for reference were the GeForce GTX 460, GTX 550 Ti, and GTX 680. The selection of graphics cards was limited to the NVIDIA and AMD hardware that's in my posession.

When it came to overclocking the ASUS Radeon HD 7850 graphics card, the 860/1200MHz card was pushed to a 1040MHz core and 1360MHz for the 1GB of GDDR5 video memory. There were no issues when pushing the graphics card to 1040/1360MHz via OverDrive on the Catalyst driver. This overclock seems fairly in line with what other enthusiasts and gamers have reported for their Radeon HD 7850 graphics card.
