With the higher-end graphics cards on this Core i7 4770K system running Ubuntu Linux, at 1920 x 1080 there began a CPU bottleneck as shown by the frame-rates leveling off... However, here you at least get an idea for the performance. The AMD Catalyst Linux performance was topping out around 220 FPS while the NVIDIA GeForce hardware was making it up to around 250 FPS.

When running Counter-Strike: Source at 2560 x 1600 there was less of a CPU bottleneck for this Source Engine game. The results come in mostly as expected given the current conditions of the AMD Catalyst and NVIDIA Linux graphics drivers. Again, these results are mostly for reference purposes and to run your own Steam Linux benchmarks against our numbers.

The only graphics cards not averaging out above 120 FPS with the proprietary Linux drivers at 1920 x 1080 for Half-Life 2: Lost Coast were the GeForce GT 240, GeForce GTX 550 Ti, GeForce GT 610, and GeForce GTX 650.
