OCZ Agility EX 60GB SSD

Starting off with the AIO-Stress test by looking at the random write performance, the Agility EX was the clear winner. The performance of this 60GB SLC SSD was over twice as fast as the Agility! The Agility performance was already multiple times faster than the traditional Seagate HDD and then the older OCZ Vertex SSD. The Agility EX performed extremely well in this test.

With IOzone the performance differences were not as dramatic, but the Agility EX still boasted the best performance. The OCZ Agility EX 60GB had averaged 192MB/s writes and 89MB/s reads. These numbers are in comparison to the OCZ Agility writing at 156MB/s and reading at 87MB/s.

When looking at the performance of the Agility EX with Dbench when running between six and 128 clients, this single layer cell SSD really came through once again. No matter the client count the Agility EX boasted excellent performance. Though as you can see, as the client count increases, Dbench ends up using caching between the disk clients.
