NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 On Linux: OpenGL, OpenCL, Vulkan Performance
Onto some preliminary OpenCL compute benchmarks with the GTX 1080. For this there are no Radeon reference points since the current open-source AMD driver stack when using the Clover state tracker for OpenCL still doesn't allow these benchmarks to successfully run.
With LuxMark, the GTX 1080 offers 14% better compute performance than the GTX TITAN X.
With the SHOC benchmark suite, under the FFT single-precision workload the GTX 1080 beats the top-end Maxwell cards by an astounding 62%!
With SHOC's MD5 hashing, the GTX 1080 was faster than the TITAN X by 40%!
