Yep, with this tiny patch to Intel P-State driver in Linux 5.15.35, the performance is much better off than prior Linux 5.15 LTS releases, as expected... Besides better performance, the benchmark deviation between runs is also much lower. Without this fix, sometimes some of the workloads like Zstd compression were hitting the E cores and other times the P cores.

It's somewhat surprising this patch didn't get back-ported to Linux 5.15 in the six months it's been in mainline considering the popularity of Intel Alder Lake and Linux 5.15 being an LTS series...

The Intel Core i5 12600K and other Alder Lake hybrid processors should be in much better shape with this new Linux 5.15 point release, unless you are already on Linux 5.16 / 5.17 / 5.18 Git.
