Intel's Linux Sandy Bridge Graphics Still Troubling

Running Nexuiz at first appeared to go alright, and even ran fine at 800 x 600, but at all resolutions above that, the screen would become corrupted and the GPU hung. It was reproducible multiple times. When it came to running Warsow, the game would crash immediately upon start-up.

When running OpenArena, the game would run for about one second or less before crashing. Usually the Mesa drivers run just fine with this game.

Running the World of Padman game, this is another game that normally runs just fine with the Mesa drivers even using i945 graphics from an Intel Atom netbook. With Sandy Bridge, however, it crashes after several seconds and this always happens. At least it crashes cleanly.

Smokin' Guns is another game that usually runs well with the open-source graphics drivers, but with this OpenGL game, it at least did not crash like Warsow, OpenArena, and Padman, but the rendering was very broken.
