Across a wide variety of real-world renderer worklaods for creators, it's safe to say the Ryzen 9 7950X was the superior choice with generally delivering faster render times while also consuming less power.

In the case of Intel's OSPRay ray-tracing engine and other oneAPI components that have made use of AVX-512 for prior desktop CPUs and Xeon processors, AMD Zen 4 performs even better. With OSPRay the Ryzen 7000 series performance was better off than the Core i9 13900K with it lacking AVX-512.

On a performance-per-Watt basis with OSPRay, the Ryzen 7900 series was still ahead thanks to Zen 4's efficient AVX-512 implementation.
