GraalVM 20.1, OpenJ9 0.20, OpenJDK Java Benchmarks
With SPECjbb 2015 out-of-the-box, GraalVM 20.1 had tied with OpenJDK 15 EA24 for first place with the max-jOPS measurement.
Meanwhile for the critical jOPS measurement, OpenJDK 14 and OpenJDK 15 EA24 had a more pronounced lead over the other JVMs.
When taking the geometric mean of all the Java tests that ran successfully on all of the tested releases, OpenJDK 8 remained the fastest out-of-the-box followed by GraalVM 20.1 and then OpenJDK 14.
Tied for the most first place finishes was GraalVM 20.1 Java 8 and OpenJDK 8
Coming in last place the most was OpenJ9 0.20's Java 11 implementation.
