Dota 2 Vulkan vs. OpenGL Performance Redux

When running the Dota 2 tests at 1920 x 1080, the NVIDIA performance with OpenGL was right around the same frame-rate average as when testing at 1280 x 1024 as was the R9 285 / R9 290 / R9 Fury while the lower-end R7 260X was taxed more and thus running slower.

The Vulkan results show the NVIDIA hardware and the higher-end Radeon hardware like the R9 285 / R9 290 / R9 Fury showing similar improvements in performance with Dota 2. However, the R7 260X that was already running slower and not CPU bound, saw roughly the same performance between the OpenGL and Vulkan back-ends.

At 2560 x 1440 is where the Radeon R9 285 hit its limit and was running around the same speed under OpenGL and Vulkan with Dota 2. The other graphics cards were still seeing an improvement but the lower-end GPUs of those tested were seeing less of a gain under Vulkan.
