Along with the amusement park, there is the Pripyat swimming pool that has been popularized by photographs on the Internet.

Pripyat's swimming pool was the best in the area and used by those preparing for the Olympics, among others.

This swimming pool remained open for about a decade after Chernobyl, as a place for the liquidators and other workers to enjoy. Originally, following the accident, the command stations and recovery personnel were positioned in Pripyat but then moved to the town of Chernobyl and other areas.

Another place that we ventured inside was a secondary school of Pripyat.

Most items from the school are still there from books to signs to sports equipment. The school's library is a complete mess with books and bookshelves scattered all over, but this is not directly from the nuclear accident but rather liquidators and then vandals causing such destruction.
