Examination:

The ASRock Z68 Pro3 is a standard size ATX motherboard that offers PCI Express x16 connectivity, in addition to supporting the integrated HD 3000 graphics found on Sandy Bridge CPUs. This ASRock motherboard also supports the Virtu technology from Lucidlogix, which allows GPU virtualization / seamless switching between integrated Intel graphics and a discrete graphics card. Unfortunately, Lucidlogix technologies do not work under Linux, so for now Virtu is rendered useless to non-Windows customers.

Unlike the H61 motherboards that are limited to two DDR3 system memory slots, most Z68 motherboards -- including the Z68 Pro3 -- feature four DDR3 DIMM slots. Next to the DIMM slot is the 20/24-pin motherboard power connection and two 3-pin fan headers.

Covering the Intel Z68 chipset is a small aluminum heatsink that is passively cooled. Below the Z68 chipset are six Serial ATA ports with two being SATA 3.0 supportive.
