Right from the start with SPECViewPerf's EnSight test there is a rather hefty performance improvement with the FirePro V8800. In fact, it's an 18% boost in performance over the FirePro V8750. Between the FireGL V8600 and FirePro V8700 generations, there was no change in performance. To no surprise, the consumer-grade Radeon HD hardware performed a ways behind.

With the Maya view-set OpenGL test, a 10% improvement is found with the FirePro V8800 over the V8700/8750.

Running the CATIA test on Linux resulted in barely a 3% performance improvement over the previous-generation AMD workstation graphics processors. This test is likely more CPU bound with the current workstation graphics cards.
