Kvazaar benchmark with settings of Video Input: Bosphorus 4K, Video Preset: Medium. Threadripper PRO 7995WX was the fastest.
Kvazaar benchmark with settings of Video Input: Bosphorus 4K, Video Preset: Very Fast. Threadripper PRO 7995WX was the fastest.
Kvazaar benchmark with settings of Video Input: Bosphorus 4K, Video Preset: Super Fast. Threadripper 7980X was the fastest.
Kvazaar benchmark with settings of Video Input: Bosphorus 4K, Video Preset: Ultra Fast. Threadripper 7980X was the fastest.
SVT-AV1 benchmark with settings of Encoder Mode: Preset 8, Input: Bosphorus 4K. Threadripper 7980X was the fastest.

The video encoding performance was mixed. The Threadripper PRO 7995WX was performing video encoding very well at 4K+ but for some encoding scenarios the Threadripper 7970X/7980X were a better fit for their higher boost frequencies while maintaining the same TDP.

SVT-HEVC benchmark with settings of Tuning: 10, Input: Bosphorus 4K. Xeon Platinum 8480+ was the fastest.
SVT-VP9 benchmark with settings of Tuning: VMAF Optimized, Input: Bosphorus 4K. Threadripper PRO 7995WX was the fastest.
SVT-VP9 benchmark with settings of Tuning: PSNR/SSIM Optimized, Input: Bosphorus 4K. Threadripper PRO 7995WX was the fastest.
SVT-VP9 benchmark with settings of Tuning: Visual Quality Optimized, Input: Bosphorus 4K. Threadripper PRO 7995WX was the fastest.

For 8K content it may be a different story but if mostly dealing with 4K or lower content and not simultaneously encoding multiple streams, a 96-core processor isn't necessarily worthwhile.
