The one area where the Xeon Scalable "Sapphire Rapids" processors were still able to battle and outperform the Threadripper PRO 7995WX in was for TensorFlow. Due to the Sapphire Rapids processors having Advanced Matrix Extensions (AMX) and TensorFlow having already included AMX support, the SPR performance here is very great. Sapphire Rapids is a great combination for AI workloads that do have all the software integration around AMX complete, but AMX software support is still overall rather limited.

With Darktable RAW photography, the proprietary V-RAY, and Blender 3D creative software, the Threadripper PRO 7995WX was delivering unbeatable performance.

The Threadripper PRO 7995WX in these multi-threaded creator workloads wasn't limited to just great raw performance but could deliver leading power efficiency too.
