AMD EPYC 7F52 Linux Performance Benchmarks - Intel Xeon vs. AMD EPYC Performance

With the HPCG interconnect-focused benchmark the EPYC 7F52 was offering great performance with its hefty L3 cache per core and coming in almost tied with the EPYC 7532 2P configuration while blowing past the Intel Xeon Scalable CPUs tested.

With NPB's Block Tri-diagonal solver, the EPYC 7F52 2P was the only configurable able to outperform the Xeon Gold 5220R. The Xeon Gold 5220R is a 24 core / 48 thread part but with a mere 35.75MB cache compared to the 256MB found on the 7F52.

Under NAMD, the EPYC 7F52 with its 16 core configuration was pulling in right behind the EPYC 7352 and still ahead of the other 16c/24c Intel Xeon Cascade Lake Refresh processors tested.
