SilverStone Element ST50EF-Plus SC:

Along with the Sugo SG01B-W, we are taking a look at the SilverStone Element ST50EF-Plus SC power supply. The ST50EF-Plus SC is designed specifically for SFF microATX cases with the SC signifying the "Short Cable edition". Not only does the ST50EF-Plus come with short cables, but on paper it is also slated to perform nice with greater than 80% efficiency and a 120mm fan to efficiently cool the power supply. The Element ST50EF-Plus provides dual +12V rails with 18 Amps per rail.

With the power supply there are also dual PCI Express connectors to support either NVIDIA's SLI or ATI/AMD's CrossFire. The Active PFC power supply also supports ATX 12V v2.2 specifications. The rated noised level for this power supply is between 20dBA and 29dBA. The cables with the ST50EF-Plus SC edition include one 20+4-pin motherboard connector with a cable length of 300mm, one 4+4-pin ATX12V connector measuring in at 300mm, dual 6-pin PCI-E connectors each measuring in at 380mm length, two dual-headed Serial ATA power connectors with a total length of 375mm, and six 4-pin IDE connectors also with a total length of 375mm per cable. Finally, there is one 4-pin floppy disk power connector.

The Element ST50EF-Plus SC power supply looks very similar to the other many SilverStone power supple we have reviewed in the past. Included with the 500W power supply was the user's manual as well as four mounting screws. Everything had arrived safely without any issues.
