Swiftech has been in the business of being cool since Gabriel Rouchon launched the firm in 1994 with operations for maintaining high-end UNIX imaging systems. Since they began offering Peltier products in the late 1990's to meet the needs of overclocks, and mainly after their incorporation in 2001, Swiftech has been gaining steam with enthusiasts and overclockers over the years through various air, water, and thermo-electric designs. On the side of air-cooling, their patented helicoid pins have remained popular while the H20 water cooling series have managed to keep overclockers on the cool side. Due to the success of Swiftech's water cooling kits designed for high-end usage, the H20 series has gone through numerous stages from the H20-80, H20-120, H20-120 Premium, and H20-APEX "Extreme Duty" among other revisions. Swiftech's most recent H20 kit advancement has been the H20-220 APEX Ultra and with us today we have this competitive kit. Has water cooling kits advanced to the point where there is no longer a significant difference between retail solutions and that of custom made setups by choosing the parts on a individual basis? To start with, the H20-220 APEX Ultra is comprised of the Swiftech Apogee waterblock, MCR220 2 x 120mm radiator, MCP655 12V DC pump, MCRES-Micro reservoir, and MCB120 Radbox in addition to its accessories.

Shipped from Signal Hill California, the Swiftech H20-220 APEX Ultra arrived at our location across the United States in pristine condition. Surrounding the actual retail packaging was a wealth of packaging peanuts. The actual retail packaging offers an attractive sleeve around the cardboard container and on this paper sleeve is various Swiftech information along with a wealth of awards they have attained over the years. On the side of the packaging the contents are labeled, which in our instance with the APEX Ultra was one Apogee waterblock, MCP655 pump, MCRES-Micro reservoir, MCR220 radiator assembly and hardware, eight feet of 7/16" industrial grade tubing, 40" Coolsleeves 625 clear, two ounces of HydrX coolant, and one syringe of Arctic Silver Ceramique.
