LINUX KERNEL
While it's coming late, the Linux 3.13 kernel is now available.

In the past week since the last 3.13 release candidate there's been a few changes but nothing overly exciting. The release announcement for the Linux 3.13 kernel can be found via the Indiana LKML archives.

If you're not yet familiar with the major advancements of this latest kernel release, see The Linux 3.13 Kernel Has Many Improvements and 13 Reasons Linux 3.13 Is Going To Be Very Exciting. Published on Phoronix have also been many Linux 3.13 kernel benchmarks and other kernel performance benchmarks, including why the new kernel is a must-have for RadeonSI users and the disk regressions of the new kernel. New tests from the Linux 3.13 kernel will be published in the coming days.

Now it's time to get excited for the Linux 3.14 kernel development, which has already been talked about in many Phoronix articles for its likely new features, of which one of my favorites is already official Intel Broadwell support.
