For the BLAKE2 crypto library the Windows 10 performance was similar to that of Ubuntu 20.10 for the latest Linux performance, which was significantly better than the Ubuntu 20.04.1 LTS performance on its older compiler and other software components from earlier in the year.

For WebP image encode performance using the reference encoder, Ubuntu Linux maintained a slight advantage over Windows 10.

The Java benchmarks with OpenJDK 11 across all platforms came out mixed depending upon whether Windows or Ubuntu was faster on the Ryzen 9 5900X system.

For mostly user program workloads of similar support on Windows and Linux, the performance came in roughly even. With some of these tests on the larger CPUs we see more of a difference but at least here with the Ryzen 9 5900X on the latest Windows 10, there wasn't too much of a difference.
