As we have been used to seeing for years, Mozilla Firefox on Windows generally offers much faster performance than under Ubuntu Linux. With Google Chrome on recent builds the Linux vs. Windows performance has tightened up but even there it's not uncommon to see Chrome on Windows delivering faster performance.
