An encrypted home directory minimally affects the Sunflow computational performance.

Similar to the GnuPG result, when using the Java-powered Bork File Encrypter, the encryption time slowed down dramatically. With Bork though this was a 41% drop in speed.

The write performance as measured by IOzone had dropped from 35.33MB/s when not using an encrypted home directory to 14.54MB/s when switching to the encrypted user.
