Mesa 20.1-dev RADV vs. RADV+ACO vs. AMDVLK vs. AMDGPU-PRO Vulkan Radeon Linux Gaming Performance
When pushing Thrones of Britannia harder by running at 1440p, ACO was of more help for Mesa's RADV while the AMDVLK driver tended to perform the best by a few frames.
ACO was of minor help to the Mesa 20.1 RADV performance for Total War: Warhammer II but overall the RADV driver was performing in line with the other AMD driver options.
Overall, it's great seeing that with Mesa 20.1-devel Git the RADV performance when enabling ACO is pretty much comparable or faster to AMD's AMDVLK and AMDGPU-PRO Vulkan driver options. While the AMD driver options had a few games with stability issues, overall Mesa 20.1-devel RADV was in a good state as of the Git revision used except for an apparent Vega/GFX9 regression with having a couple of issues there. But overall the open-source AMD Linux Vulkan graphics driver ecosystem is as great as ever. If you enjoy these frequent Linux benchmarks, consider going premium to help us out. Thanks.
