Mesa 20.1-dev RADV vs. RADV+ACO vs. AMDVLK vs. AMDGPU-PRO Vulkan Radeon Linux Gaming Performance
At 1440p, Hitman 2 with RADV + ACO was enough to level the playing field between the Mesa RADV driver and the official AMD Vulkan drivers, sans the RX Vega 56 woe.
Strange Brigade saw similar performance between Mesa 20.1-dev RADV and AMDGPU-PRO 19.50. The AMDVLK driver, however, appeared to be hit by a vsync issue with the performance getting capped to 30 FPS. Given that AMDVLK and AMDGPU-PRO are derived from the same code-base for Vulkan besides shader compiler differences, this appears to be a regression in the AMD stack with the AMDGPU-PRO 19.50 perfoming okay and it being an older revision.
At 1440p, Strange Brigade with Mesa 20.1-devel remained neck-and-neck with the AMDGPU-PRO 19.50 Vulkan performance.
