The SQLite performance on this dual AMD Opteron system saw a big boost with Fedora 20 and has stayed that way since then up through Fedora 23. The likely reason for this is from the continued evolution of EXT4 optimizations and/or other kernel improvements.

Unlike SQLite, FS-Mark didn't see any performance changes over the tested Fedora Linux releases.

CompileBench meanwhile showed a big boost going from Fedora 19 to Fedora 20 and it's largely been that way since. Fedora 23 with available updates is delivering the peak performance for this test run.
