There was also another early, strange phenomenon of Windows 11 running well with Ubuntu/Fedora while Intel's performance-optimized Clear Linux and Ubuntu 21.10 with Linux 5.16 were running much slower. It ended up being a common theme unfortunately in these tests finding the Linux 5.16 kernel performance regressing compared to Linux 5.15 or 21.10's 5.13 stable kernel.
