DragonFlyBSD 4.2 vs. Ubuntu 15.10 CPU Performance
Ubuntu 15.10 was also faster when it came to compiling PHP.
The performance between C-Ray on this Core i7 4790K Haswell system was the same between DragonFlyBSD 4.2 and Ubuntu 15.10.
The Primesieve prime number generator also performed nearly the same between Ubuntu 15.10 and DragonFlyBSD 4.2.
For the most part with these CPU-focused tests, the performance of DragonFlyBSD 4.2 was practically the same as Ubuntu 15.10 with both operating systems using GCC5 as their default compiler. However, in some tests like GraphicsMagick and timed PHP compilation, Ubuntu Linux came out faster.
