AMD Ryzen 8500G / 8600G / 8700G Performance @ 35 Watt & 45 Watt cTDP

First up was the graphics benchmarks and kicking things off with GravityMark given the interesting RDNA3 integrated graphics of the 8000G series. For all three parts they saw little performance hit when dropping from the default 65 Watt to 45 Watt mode while going down to 35 Watts yielded a more significant drop to performance. With the 8700G at 35 Watts it was still more performant than the 8600G at 65 Watts, similarly the 8600G at 35 Watts was still much faster than the 8500G.

The Ryzen 5 8500G didn't benefit much in terms of power efficiency during GravityMark but both the 8600G and 8700G showed some nice gains to power efficiency at 35/45 Watts.

With 3DMark Wild Life Extreme there was a more significant drop off in performance at the 35 Watt cTDP.

But there was a nice boost to the power efficiency of the 8600G and 8700G at 35 and 45 Watt levels.

It was a similar story with various other graphics benchmarks carried out.
