While not the focus of today's article, for those wondering, with the Radeon RX 6800 XT graphics used there were no major performance benefits from the newer kernels in the various graphics/gaming workloads tested. The AMD RDNA2 open-source driver support is rather mature at this point.

For the most part these benchmarks weren't too eventful. There have been Intel hybrid improvements in more recent kernel versions, but as a whole even using the stock Linux 5.15 kernel with Raptor Lake CPUs is a good experience.

But you may notice in a number of workloads, running Linux 5.18 and newer is slower than 5.15 through 5.17...
