GCC 4.7 also has the ability to boost the performance out of the OpenMP-powered GraphicsMagick imaging program. However, even though Fedora 17 for ARM had GCC 4.7, its performance was much slower than Ubuntu/Linaro.

For the Himeno Poisson Pressure Solver was one of the few test profiles where the Linaro Linux performance regressed going from the 12.10 to 12.12 release.

Ubuntu/Linaro remains much faster than Fedora 17 and Arch Linux on ARM for the OMAP4 platform.
