With the multi-threaded C-Ray ray-tracer to max the Intel Core i7 power consumption, there is no change in power consumption or performance-per-Watt between the Linux 3.2 and 3.5 kernels for this Ivy Bridge system.

The power consumption while building out the vanilla Linux kernel also went unchanged.
